KEYSTARTER was not developed for maximum automation,
but for conscious control by the rider. 

The system makes no decisions in the background.
Every authorization is traceable, explainable, and deliberately triggered. 

No Automatic Starting – Deliberately Designed  

No Radio Signal = No Unintentional Starting 

KEYSTARTER does not start automatically as soon as you approach the vehicle.
The starting process occurs exclusively via the rider pressing the button.  

✔ No permanent transmission of radio signals

 ✔ No automatic ignition authorization 

 ✔ No risk from signal extension (Relay Attacks) 

👉 You actively decide when your vehicle is ready to start. 

🛡️ Mechanical Steering Lock Remains Fully Intact 

🔑 KEYSTARTER does not replace the mechanical key. 

The key remains necessary to mechanically unlock the steering lock.  

Only then does KEYSTARTER take over the electronic ignition authorization – optionally via iTag, original key, or in Phone Mode. 

🛡️ iTag Mode – Selectable Security Behavior 

In iTag Mode, two security levels are available,

 adapted to your riding profile and environment. 

Comfort Mode 

• Single iTag check at start 

• Ignition remains active until manually switched off 

• Ideal for daily use, city traffic, and short stops 

👉 Simple, reliable, without continuous checks. 

Security Mode 

• Additional iTag check after approx. 30 seconds 

• iTag no longer in range → Ignition is deactivated in a controlled manner 

Suitable for: 

• Longer stops 

• Unsecure parking locations 

• Enhanced security requirements 

👉 The deciding factor is not proximity, but presence. 

🆘 Emergency Start – When no iTag is available 

KEYSTARTER won't leave you stranded.
The Emergency Start is not a separate mode,
but a temporary function within the iTag Mode. 

If the iTag is lost, defective, or the battery is empty,
a controlled start is still possible. 

Procedure:

 1️⃣ Press the start button

2️⃣ A signal tone sounds after approx. 30 seconds

3️⃣ Establish connection via smartphone

4️⃣ Select „Motor ON“ – continue your ride

🔄 At the next restart, the system returns to normal iTag Mode.

✔ No permanent emergency operation

 ✔ No bypass of security logic 

Backup means Control – Not Bypassing Security 

✔ No Cloud

 ✔ No Internet Necessary

 ✔ Mechanical Safeties remain fully intact
